The Chairman of the Investigative Committee received the President of the “Eurojust” Agency

On March 25, 2022, the chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan received the delegation of the "Eurojust" agency lead by its president Ladislav Hamran. The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Tigran Balayan also attended the meeting.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the dangers posed by cross-border crimes in Europe, the work required to organize the fight against crime, the effective conduct of pre-trial proceedings, as well as other similar issues.

Argishti Kyaramyan briefed the head of “Eurojust” on the progress of reforms launched in the RA Investigative Committee, touched upon the steps and initiatives aimed at improving the structure's activities as a result of state policy, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with international organizations in this sphere.

Ladislav Hamran presented to the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee the main paths of cooperation and professional assistance provided within the framework of functions of "Eurojust", to the law enforcement agencies of different countries, emphasizing the main manifestations of partnership relations with relevant state bodies of the Republic of Armenia.

Hamran discussed issues related to the prospects of cooperation in the fight against crime, as well as agreed on further contacts and the organization of joint processes between the two structures.
